The Point are a 4 piece indie / alt rock band from South London. Think The Jam circa 1978 crossbred with the swagger of Miles Kane and the anthems of Sam Fender.

Made up of vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Jake Lowe, drummer Harvey Ludlow, bassist Dexter Gauge and guitarist Jack Hinks, the boys are sharp, direct and energetic. With an ethos of playing every gig as if it were Wembley, the band have built a name for themselves on blistering live performances that leave nothing behind.

They released their debut single ‘Satellites’ in 2019. Following this the band were tipped by This Feeling on their ‘Big in 2020’ shortlist.

The Point returned in 2023 with new single ‘Miss Behaviour’, released in May. It has already racked up over 40k Spotify streams. After playing a sold out release show at London’s Water Rats and a string of headline dates in Brighton, London and Manchester, the boys were set for a big 2024.


Following a flurry of shows to kick off 2024, the band released their first of three new singles ‘Firing Lightning’ in April. Another sold out release show at Notting Hill Arts Club and 50k Spotify streams later, the boys were ready to go again.

The Point’s latest single, ‘Dancing With Two Left Feet’ was released on 04.10.24. It has already clocked in 30k Spotify streams.

With launch gigs in London and Manchester, as well as a support date with The Rosadocs, it was a manic end to the year. The band show no sign of slowing down in 2025 with three new singles in production, not to mention their upcoming single and title track from the band’s debut EP, due for release later this year.
